HPC UPCOMING EVENTS

• ELDERCARE SUPPORT - Next meeting Tuesday, May 6, 7:00-8:30pm.  This month's special guest speaker, a VA representative, will provide information on pension benefits available to veterans and surviving spouses of veterans.  We will also have a "meeting in the round" time for sharing, so bring any agency information or suggestions you may have to share with the group.  This group provides helpful information to caregivers of the elderly as well as those people looking to set in motion planning for their future needs.  For more info contact: Holderb@frapanthers.com or David@highlandparkchurch.org / 352-5710 ext. 2.   

• NEW MEN’S BIBLE STUDY: “Tapping Into God’s Power Source” - Beginning Wednesday, May 7th @ 6:30pm. LACKING POWER? On a hot July night in 1977, millions of New Yorkers sat in the dark, some paralyzed by fear. The cause? A massive power failure. Today, there's a greater power failure affecting billions of people every day. It's not an electrical power outage, but a spiritual one.  Join this men's class on Wednesday nights at 6:30 as we learn how to understand and tap into the power of the Holy Spirit, who is the one LASTING POWER SOURCE that conquers all fear, resulting in a powerful and fulfilling life. Books will be available for $11. Led by David McCall. Childcare provided   

• WOMEN'S WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY: "STEPPING UP-AGAIN" - Ever taken a trip that was so amazing you simply couldn't wait to do it again?  Beth Moore's study "Stepping Up" is such a life-changing adventure with God that we simply can't wait to go again.  So we aren't!  We are going back to the beginning and focus our attention on the daily studies.  We'll talk more about the numerous topics covered during the week and discuss further what it means to "Step Up".  Whether this is your first time taking the class or you were a part of the first go around, this adventure is for everyone and you won't want to miss it!  It all starts Wed. April 30th @ 6:30pm.  Led by Penny Bennett.  Childcare provided 

• CLUB h.g.s. (girl's club) - The Wednesday night girl's club will be taking a break until June.  Watch for the big summer celebration kick-off!!! 

• HPC GNO (girl's nite out) - Saturday, May 17th @ 3:30pm.  Join the girls of HPC at PF Chang's in Cool Springs, for an afternoon of good food and great fun!  GNO is a great way to catch up with old friends, and make some new ones!  Sign-up at the info table in the lobby on Sunday.

SMALL GROUP STUDIES

LIVING FREE 12 STEP RECOVERY GROUP – Living Free is a Christ-centered 12 step recovery meeting led by Mike Simmons (HPC Guitar Player). Meeting Tuesdays @ 7:30pm at HPC. If you or anyone you know struggles with addiction, alcoholism, co-dependency or other addictions you and they are welcome. It is completely anonymous. We follow Jesus and the 12 Steps and Traditions that were given to us by Him through AA and NA.

ELDERCARE SUPPORT GROUP @ HPC – Meeting the first Tuesday of each month @ 7pm. Eldercare Support is an on-going group that will meet on a regular basis to address subjects such as insurance, banking, funeral arrangements, healthcare, hospice and other important issues surrounding our elderly. Guest speakers will provide expert advice and the group will provide emotional and spiritual support. For more information contact david@highlandparkchurch.org / 352-5710 ext. 2.

MID-WEEK GETAWAY CLASSES:

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY - Wednesdays @ 6:30pm. CLUB K J (KIDZ JAM) - For kids ages 6 - 8.  Wednesday nights 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Come have fun with your friends at CLUB K J! We'll play lots of cool games and do awesome activities! Invite your friends, it will be a jammin good time!!! 

SUNDAY KIDS QUEST CHILDREN’S MINISTRY - Nursery through grade 6. We teach your children about Jesus in a fun, interactive and safe environment. The best place for children at HPC during the service is in Kid’s Quest, where they can be what and who they are….kids! Parents, keep your KQ claim check number handy during the service. On the rare occasion our staff needs to contact you, we’ll flash your number on digital displays below the screens.

KID'S QUEST - KQ will require all parents picking up their children after the service to show your matching ID tag to the KQ Worker at the room. This procedure will take a few extra minutes, but the safety of all children in Kid's Quest is the most important detail.

SUNDAY VENTURE 78 - For teens in 7th & 8th grade. Meeting Sunday mornings @ 9am in room 8. Venturing into real answers of everyday kids dealing with real life.

SUNDAY HPC TEEN SUMMIT - A place where teens can learn and talk about the every day trials of being a teen. We meet at 9:00 each Sunday in room 13. For teens in grades 9 - 12.

SUNDAY EVERYDAY LIFE CLASS - A class for everyday people wanting a small group setting to learn more about Christ. This class is a great way to meet new people and connect at HPC. So grab a cup of coffee and join us at 8:45am in room 1. Currently studying: "Living A Life God Rewards".  Taught by Gary Cayce & Gary Robble. Childcare provided

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY – “The Women of the Bible” (The Smart Guide to the Bible Series). Come join this awesome group as they study the women of the Bible. We learn, we laugh, we share and we pray. Led by Barbara Holder. Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in Room #2. Childcare provided
